Join me for play-by-web games?

I play a somewhat steady stream of play-by-web boardgames. If listeners want to join me, just pop over to one of thsoe sites and look for games called Boardgames To Go. On the sites that use passwords for games, I always try to use BGTG as the password to restrict the game to my podcast listeners. Right now I've got games of Reef Encounter and Through the Desert waiting for players.

Yes! I might need to schedule it in advance, but VOIP during online play is definitely something I want to experiment with. I'll try to remember to fire up Skype whenever I've got a chance to try this, and maybe we'll be lucky enough to be online at the same time. (Though I want to try Vassal, too, I think I'd start wtih BSW since I already understand how that works.)

Bummer. Looks like I missed the RE game. I usually keep a few of these RE games going, so I'll keep an eye out for your games. Hope to play with you one of these days!

I'd love to try a game of Verrater on BSW...though I've never played it before.

Perhaps you should look into adding some calendar functionality on the site and schedule some games?

Actually, I'll just keep opening new games up over there. Not that I can juggle a dozen of them at once, but I can handle a couple. And as one ends, I'll start a new one. Just keep looking for ones labeled Boardgames To Go somewhere, and remember that I'll always use BGTG as the password to join.

Our first Durch game just ended, and I notice I ended up playing kingmaker: I used the last white/lemon camel, ending the game and leaving the Marks (Haberman and Johnson) to split the white caravan bonus. That five point swing meant that Johnson won, when he would have lost had Haberman gotten all ten points.

I didn't set out to do that; inattention on my part. Looking at the game again, I think Johnson would have been next, thus getting the extra white camel.

Viel Spass! Nochmal!

(Lotsa fun! Again!)

Holy smokes, I just went 2-0 on the play-by-web games started from this blog entry. You guys are going to get the wrong idea that I'm actually good at these games. Reminds me of our first ever Santa Clarita Boardgamer session, when my greater experience carried the day and I won everything . . . a feat never to be repeated! :)

DDW 5537 just finished with EdRoz just pipping me by 1pt and Mark and Cowdog not too far behind. Close game guys, thanks.

My main reason for posting here is that I only just noticed Ed was asking for a bit of background on each of us and I don't think you can post when the game is completed.

We have played pbw before, Ed. My usual username in pbw and on the geek is 100%Blade (I had a devil of a job trying to get ludagora to accept this name). I live in Engalnd and been gaming since the early 70's (1829, Civilisation etc) and hooked into the Euro scene since the late-eightees (I think the first German game I picked up was Schoko and Co.)

If I see another BGTG game going, I'll join in. Thanks again for the game.
