BGTG 36B - All About Verräter (with Greg Aleknevicus - Part 2)
Here's part 2 of the show, the longer part that is the in-depth treatment of Verräter. You know, I'd love to get a translation of Casasola Merkle's "Entsehung" page for the game. It tells the story of the game's development. I can understand part of it using an online translator, but those are always sketchy.

Hi Mark,
Your MP3 icon still links to Part 1 rather than Part 2. Hope you can rectify it :)
BTW, I'm still backed up a little with listening to earlier shows. Great stuff so far. Keep it up!

Mark,
I am really enjoying the last few shows. The All About shows are great. It's like sitting around listening to a couple buddies discussing the game in depth. Verräter is another one of those games we played a couple times when it came out and then we went on to the next new one. This show makes me want to pull it out again and try to get the group to play it a few times. Given its length, it would make a good lunchtime game.
The internet phone setup wasn't too bad. It could use a little work but if the person on the other end can remember to speak clearly and a little louder than normal, it should work fine. Maybe this set up could open up more possibilities for a broader selection of people to do All About shows with. You could get a group of semi-regulars that you could use to have in depth game discussions with.

Hi Mark,
I've never played Verraeter before but thank you for your show. I feel as though I have a feel for what the game is like since I do play Meuterer and I can see some of the similarities.
Please keep up the good work.

Mark,
Another very good show! The content was very good, although I have to say that the sound quality (Greg's voice) was pretty poor. I've used Skype before, and I thought the quality was better - was he using a headset microphone (vs. the built-in one)? Or is there a way to record the 2 inputs - your mic, and the skype feed - on 2 different channels in Audacity so you could bump up the sound levels on the skype channel?
Anyway, I've been wanting to learn both Verräter and Meuterer for quite a while now - I'd love to hook up with you and some other newbies on BSW some time! I'm going on vacation very soon, so this would most likely have to be in November, unfortunately ....
Mark and Greg,
Great Show!
I really like those pair of games myself and I plan to bring them to my weekly gaming session soon!
Greg was a little hard to hear through Skype. I will send him feedback to the www.thegamesjournal.com, for the issues I have read in the past.
thanks, Brian
