Mark Johnson's occasional & opinionated podcast about family strategy boardgames

BGTG - July 5, 2005 - SR: Smarty Party Jr., Attacktix, Geschenkt, Oceania

Once again I included my son Sam on the podcast. This show is an audio session report for some games played with family over the 4th of July holiday weekend. So it's got some angst about getting family to play the sort of games I like, trying to pick things they like, and then worrying about how well they went over. :)

Be sure to vote on the new logos using the webpoll in my right sidebar. Thanks!

Mark

Both logos look great! I figured the iPod logo would be the "run away" favorite. I mean, this a Podcast, right? Just goes to show... "Different strokes for different folks."

The logos aren't showing properly at http://boardgamestogo.com/2005/07/bgtg-july-5-2005-sr-smarty-party-jr.html - if you look at the HTML I am sure you will see why. ;-)

Great Episode! It's very interesting to hear Sam's perspective on the games that you guys play. Good stuff!

Great episode like always!

I thought I should explain why its easy to believe LEMONS are not commonly eaten fruit around the world - They don't grow everywhere!

For example, in Latin and South America lemons are incredibly rare. Instead, Limes are used as a replacement. (Weirdly, Limes are called Lemons in these areas.)

Ok...if you say so. But it's easy to suppose the rest of the game has an American-centric view of trivia, so the lemon omission still feels weird!
