Homework assignment: La Città

Not really an assignment, but if you want to get the most out of the next All About show, maybe you'd like to refresh your memory about La Città. I recorded a two-parter with Jonathan Degann about his game analysis in general (part 1), and La Città in particular (part 2). It'll take me a day or three to finish it up.

If I had a little better control of my recording schedule, I'd love to give everyone about a one month heads-up on the All About shows, sort of like how a reading group shares a book title before the actual discussion. I think my next All About show will be Vinci, with Dave Arnott, but I can't be sure.

I've got another show "in the can," too--one talking about gamer-dads and being a new boardgamer in general with David Gullett (davebo on BGG). This one has kids--multiple kids!--on the show and will take a little more editing, too.

P.S. Sorry that the email address I give out for this podcast (linked above) filled up recently. If you sent something and it bounced, please send it again.

Hello Mark,

believe it or not, I only started playing La Città recently. So this particular podcast will be very interesting and I am greatly looking forward to it. Thanks for putting this great show up so frequently!

I played La Citta for the first time last month. I liked it and will be playing it again this Saturday. I'm eagerly awaiting this "All About" show. Thanks for a great podcast.

La Citta is one I have not played at all, but wouldn't mind trying. I look forward to your All About show to see if it sounds like something I'd really enjoy or not!

Hello Mike!

What a great choice for a podcast. This game is a sleaping beauty in my shelves and I'm pretty sure after having listened to your podcast it will hit the table again soon.

It was the same with Medici. Had it in my shelf for quite a while and after you have done your podcast I was curious enough to give it a try and now I love it and will play it a lot of times.

So go ahead and don't stop to give me the last push needed to start playing the "jewels" of my collection.

Great work, great pleasure ... good luck with all your upcoming shows.

Greetings ... Andreas Resch.

Andreas, if you tell us what games are in your collection, maybe I can push Mark to do shows about all of them, rather than making him guess :)

Hi ...

... first of all ... SORRY for calling Mark "Mike" ... don't know how that happened - I guess I'm immune to coffein by now and it was way to late in the morning.

About my games that I'd like to have a podcast about ... I guess Mark had the right touch choosing them so far ... and even if he's picking a game that I don't own or already have played, it's still a great pleasure to listen to the podcasts anyway ...

@David ... hope to hear you on some podcast soon again ... I enjoyed the one you did with Mark before quite a lot ...

So - MARK - and - DAVID - ... have fun with the shows and thanks for doing such a great job ...

Greetings ... Andreas.
